Wrong memory sent

Hi, I ordered ddr2 pc5300 memory a few days ago for an Acer Aspire L100. The memory that arrived was pc6400 - the computer I tried installing it in would not boot. I've raised an RMA - 41016120 - and will return the kit to you. This order was for a customer of mine who now has to wait for the replacement to be sent out. Is there any possibility the process can be speeded up? Thanks in advance, Thurls

We want all of our members to enjoy their experience in the Crucial forum community. Please bear in mind the following when asking for help:

1. Please do not post in all caps. This is unnecessary and makes the forums difficult to read.

2. Create new posts for your specific issue, unless a solution has been posted prior. (Use "search" function to find a solution that has already been posted. Do not change the subject headlines for other posts.)

3. Post a subject title that provides a clear indication of the problem you are experiencing. For example. posting something like "Major problem!! Look inside!" does not communicate anything about the issue you are facing.

4. Please provide the following information:

Make and model names of computer or motherboard. If you do not know this information, click on the following link to use our system scanner.

http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/

When the scanner has finished, copy the URL from your browser's address bar and paste it into your post, so we can find the information.

Crucial Part Number. The one from the part, not the one from the scan result page (the two are different).

A detailed description of issue. Simply saying "part is not working" does not provide enough information to be able to give a detailed, helpful response.

Advance-replacement RMA option?

I'm planning to get a 256GB SSD drive for my Macbook Pro system. It is a critical system and I want to check on your RMA procedure. I may not want to go with your product if it will take a significant time to get a new drive in the event of a failure. Is there an advance-replacement option? If not is there any other expediting options to get it sent back to me from you? Cross-shipping? etc.

Thanks!

Hey there. A little over a week ago, I sent in a package to Crucial. USPS showed that they dropped the package off, but it's been exactly a week now since drop off and I'm getting a bit concerned. If Crucial tends to send some kind of notification of when they received a package, they didn't seem to send one to me. Could I get someone to double check that Crucial does in fact have my package?

My RMA number is "41003320"

I recently submitted and recieved my RMA number. The only problem is, the item I linked to the RMA is slightly different than the item number I should have given. I bought the RAM as a kit, and copied the number from the actual sticker on the module, so that product number is for the individual sticks. However I did put I put in the description that this is a kit. I have also mis-placed the original plastic packaging for the kit.. Am I still okay to ship the RMA?

Thanks,
Matt

RMA number request, July 2009, not received.

Dear Crucial, One of the purchased (BL2KIT12864AA1065.000, containing 2 modules of PN:79884) memory modules has turned faulty and my system fails to boot. I have tried the suspect module in differing slots including on it's own and the system fails to boot; working fine with just the working module in one slot (1gb). After trying both modules again the system did work and was able to boot for about 2 weeks, whence the problem of boot failure has returned, and removing the intermittently faulty module allows the system to boot again. When the module doesn't work in this system, I also tried it in another DDR2 Motherboard I have, and again it failed to boot therein.

I sent a RMA request on 23 July 2009, the problem is now getting worse and all boot attempts fail. Please help with sending RMA number to me (maybe email address entered was incorrect?)

Regards.

Hello, I just filled out my RMA form earlier yesterday and havent received the second email with my RMA number, that the first email said i would get (the email said i would receive this RMA Number SHORTLY). Did some searching on these forums and it looks like Crucial is having a pretty solid track record of not "streamlining" the RMA # emails they're supposed to send. Posting this to save myself the time and hassle of waiting for an email i probobly wont receive. (sorry crucial just going by what i see)

Need an RMA number please ASAP. Need my 2 Gigs back in my system.....like yesterday.

Forums email is the same as the email i filled out RMA Return form with. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I took my macbook to apple store because of problems waking up from sleep. The apple genius ran some tests on it and said it was a problem with memory. I upgraded my memory the day I bought my macbook last october, at the campus apple store. I took my bad memory (2 X 2GB module) into the campus store and they asked me to return it to crucial. I applied for an RMA and returned it to crucial and they received it yesterday ( I tracked the shipment). Do any of you know how long it will be before my memory will be replaced? I really need the memory quick because I use my computer a lot for graphics and data analysis.

The RMA# is 41001816.

Thanks

Compatibilty Warranty Warning

Be careful with Crucial:

If you order a module which is according to them is compatable and you then subsequently order a second identical one at a later date and you discover the 2 modules together aren't in fact compatible with your machine - they will not refund the original module. Leaving you stuck with a module you can't use.

You have been warned!
