My system is as follows:
Hardware Overview:
Model Name: iMac G5
Model Identifier: PowerMac8,2
Processor Name: PowerPC G5 (3.1)
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of CPUs: 1
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 512 MB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 5.2.5f1
Serial Number (system): W85230YSSDZ
Your memory application determined I needed part # CT442012. I ordered it, installed it, and witnessed a kernel panic. I tried everything, reinstall, zap pram, nothing works. The hardware check to my mac shows all PASSED on the extensive test (prior to memory install). Suggestions? I have applied for and received an RMA but this means I must pay for shipping. Why must I pay shipping when your products are guaranteed and this is the RAM you suggested? Can I send it COD? Why doesn't your company supply a tech support phone number for help? For a company that exalts its excellent customer service you make it awfully hard to communicate with. Forums are fine but customers with immediate needs need to speak to a human...
