I just bought a 4GB RAM, 2.8GHZ mid-2009 Macbook Pro and would like to buy CT999716 8GB DDR3 RAM. Is there any known issue with Crucial 8GB DDR3 RAM with Macbook Pro 2009 model ? Thanks David

Considering that's the memory kit the Crucial Scanner recommends for your laptop I'm pretty sure it'll be perfectly fine

Hi, I asked this because I saw some posts here mentioned that their Crucial memory seemed to have some compatibility issue and thus I am worried about it. What can I do if the memory I bought from Crucial has compatibility issue with Macbook Pro ? Thanks David

Hmm... I see. Reading their problems it's almost as if Apple wants to force people to buy their own (extremely overpriced) RAM instead of regular RAM from other brands.

Yes, it is too expensive for their 8GB module (USD$1000). but if Crucial can't provide 100% compatible memory then buying from them seems to be the only choice.
