I spoke with someone at crucials customer service and they told me this model of memory, 1GB 200-PIN SO-DIMM 128Mx64 DDR PC2700 Pb-Free, would be appropriate to add to my 2005 iBook G4. i added it into the slot as properly as i know how, followed the user manuals directions, yet when i turned my computer back on and checked the system profile it did not seem to register the new memory.
any suggestions as to why, how to fix?
thanks

Hello rfreeden,
The iBook G4 systems, it is common to think memory is seated correctly in the system even when it is not. I would recommend starting over and try reseating the memory. When installing, make sure you are going into the slot at about a 45 degree angle. While at the angle, give a good sharp push of 20 to 30 pounds of pressure. You should hear a click. Once done, keep pressing in on the module as you lay it down to lock into place. Once locked in, take a look at the gold contacts. You should see a very small (pencil line) sliver of the gold showing or less. Please get back to us if this doesn't solve the issue for you.
