I'm having a little trouble with updating my firmware from 0006 to 0007. Here are the steps I took to update the firmware:
1. Downloaded the latest firmware 0007. (C300_FW0007.zip)
2. Unzipped the file to get the .iso image.
3. Burned the image on a CD.
4. Restart my MacBook with the CD in it. During startup, I pressed "C" to boot from CD.
The only thing I get is a blank backlit black screen. I thought it was my image burn, but I actually burned the image 2 times on different computers and I still get the same result.
Are there any missing steps in my process here? Is there a firmware update specific for Macs?
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I just tried to start from disk from system preferences and I get the same result. Looks like we're having the same issue here.

solution found. you must drag the firmware image to the DISK UTILITY side bar, it will show an extra icon below the image (which is the image opened), then you burn using DISK UTILITY's "burn".
now it will be recognized as a bootable CD by OS X.
