MX300 increasing unexpected power loss count, sometimes freezes

Just returned an MX300 525GB drive and the new one has the same fault. I can see that the SMART "unexpected power loss" attribute increases every time I sleep or hibernate the computer. Sometimes after waking the machine the MX300 cannot be accessed and just hangs. Sometimes when resuming from hibernation the machine fails to reach the desktop and restarts. Is this a firmware bug? How can I get it fixed? My system is Windows 8.1 with Intel SATA ports. I'm using Bitlocker if it matters.

No ideas? Should I try another RMA, maybe get a good one?

Have you checked for a computer BIOS update?

You could try different versions of the Intel Rapid Storage Tech driver.  I used to lose my C300 when resuming from sleep on a previous computer with certain versions of it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have the latest BIOS. I can't install the Intel driver because it doesn't support BitLocker, or at least the last version I can find that supports this chipset doesn't. Intel don't seem interested in releasing a fix. I use the basic Microsoft AHCI driver.

How about trying different power plan, 'High performance' for example? What chipset are you using?

What difference will the power plan make? It happens every time I turn the machine off or put it to sleep, not when it is in use.

I should add that I have a couple of Samsung drives on the same controller and they are fine. It's a Crucial specific problem.

How can I get this escalated? It's a firmware issue, it needs fixing.
