Macbook Pro 15-inch mid 2012 RAM and SSD Question

There are a ton of threads about this, but for my own sanity I have to ask about my specific machine.

Here are the exact specs:

MacBook Pro

15-inch, Mid 2012

Processor: 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory: 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

So basically I wanted to verify that I can install 16 GB of RAM, as well as a SSD or a Hybrid Drive.

Also, will doing so void the warranty?

Thank you.

Hi estebanrules,

Thank you for your question.

I have had a look in to this system for you and I can guarantee that it does support 16GB and also our SSD's.  We don't actually provide hybrid drives so I would be unable to guarantee they are compatible but as they run on a SATA connection you should have no problem at all.

We would also be unable to confirm if upgrading the system would void the warranty as the warranty is different in each system.  I would check your warranty details to see if it would cause any problems.

Generally upgrading the RAM would not void most warranties but I can't guarantee that with your system.   You can see all the compatible upgrades for this system HERE
