Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch (Mid 2012), Processor 2.5Ghz i5, and just upgraded from 4Gb memory (2Gb per slot) to 16Gb (8Gb per slot).
Running macOS Sierra prior to the upgrade and now - so far no problems to report at all.
All I can say is positive: Mac running like it should, no daisy wheel, no delay, no hiccups -just quick and smooth, the way it used to be.
3 days running and no issues. Keep your fingers crossed for me and my Mac

I am having an issue with my mid 2012 13" 2.9Ghz where the "bottom" sodimm slot is causing instability when it is full - started 2 weeks ago with the stock 2x4GB chips and i tried to upgrade to 2x8GB but the instability was still there. I read on another thread that removing the bottom chip (the one closer to the keyboard) could prevent the system crashes, and it seems to be working... Is it possible to get this mac to recognize a single chip of 16gb such as: http://www.crucial.com/ProductDisplay?urlRequestType=Base&catalogId=10151&categoryId=&productId=5745...
thanks, gotjosh
