I received a 2 GB DDR2 memory card and a 1 GB DDR2 memory card as a bonus for buying antivirus software at a store and I don't have a clue if they are compatible with my computer. I upgraded to 2GB a long time ago but I don't know what type of memory cards went into the machine. I checked the Crucial memory upgrade website and I think my computer can only handle 2 GB. I have two questions:
1. Can I put the DDR2 cards in my machine? If so, will the computer recognize the 3 GB?
2. Is there anything magic about the DDR2 technology? In other words, GB to GB, are these card twice as fast as the cards I already have in the computer?

You will need to give us the info off of the memory sticks: manufacturer, model #, etc.
