Then Crucial must change you the SSD. You must demand a new one. I't must cover under the warranty.
Good luck

I've had my 256 drive for three weeks.
It worked well.... while it worked...
But yesterday it suddenly froze, then refused to boot at all.
I have taken it out of the machine again and tried to access it through an external.
It's DEAD DEAD DEAD
Has ANYONE been able to access the drive again once it has died???
I desperately want to get a few files back off the drive!!!
Any tips?
Anyone???
Why does this keep happening to SO many people???

Contact Crucial Support as detailed above. If you need data recovery you'll need to contact a data recovery company. I don't know if any of them can do SSD's though. You'd need to google it.

mine just spontaneously died too after about a month of use in my Macbook Pro. It came with the 1711 firmware. I was rendering some video and then the screen just went blank- no warning or odd behavior prior to the crash. I thought it was my laptop but I pulled the drive and put the old one back in and it works. I was just looking here for a solution. Guess there is none.
I put the SSD in an external case:
-Windows XP says the device cannot start
-Mac Disk Utility doesn't even see it
-My Highpoint RocketRaid utility on my desktop can see it but I can only initialize it. I guess I will have to since there seem to be no other options.
just an FYI from another unhappy customer. It works great when you do get it to work though.

Yeah, 1711 is the biggest reason people post here and has definitely dominated the number of posts for a single subject. Too bad you didn't read up on 1711 before you installed everything on it.

Wow...
Too bad that he didn't decide to read the manufacturer's support forums prior to making a purchase and attempting to utilize a product that was receiving very favorable reviews?
I don't know about you, but I generally only attempt to receive support *after* I run into an issue.
I understand that it's completely irrational to assume that a product that is well regarded on the market and has active recommendations from several sources would work as is being marketed. I would like to assume that most people are like me and want their products to work whenever possible and feel that I've not been lied to about it's capabilities.
