Revision Firmware 0309 is now available. This firmware resolves the issue where a m4 SSD required restarts after approximately 5,000 hours of actual “on time” use.
If you are using a SAS Expander please do not download this Firmware. We are working on a Firmware Update that will work in these applications. We do not have a ETA for this right now.

This says it does not work with SAS expanders, will it work with direct attached SAS controllers that do not go through an expander e.g. the the LSI MPT?

In previous FW updates (0009) we had to change mode to IDE. I didn't see that step mentioned in the 0309 guide.
Should we still change mode to IDE or is this for some reason not necessary when updating to 0309?
Cheers.

Despite what the guide said, 0009 didn't need IDE either. ![]()
