"No drive found" firmware upgrade

After finally getting this to boot in DOS with a USB stick ony my Vaio Z series laptop, the updater doesn't find my M225 drive.

There's no option in the BIOS to change ACPI or IDE modes.

It's one heck of a job to take the drive out - it's very well hidden, so I'd really like to avoid it.

But unless anyone has a bright idea, I guess there's no way for me to update otherwise?

Warning: the link is to a Blogspot entry. Not dangerous, merely long and difficult to read.

Er no...  :womanmad:

It's links to the OCZ support forum which links to a possible solution for people that cannot update their SSDs in Sony Z series laptops.

It's not my problem that it's long and difficult to read.

Thanks a lot, it all worked brilliantly and I now even have many more things to tweak in the BIOS!

Technically, you're correct. There's nothing of substance at  the OCZ link other than the link to the Blogspot article, but your link points to OCZ.

I'm glad that the Blogspot article helped the OP.

Perhaps I should be more accepting of Blogspot. So far, my only contact with it has been from people posting long lists of Blogspot links to Usenet, without text that might describe why the links might be of interest. Looked like a scam, but the link you provide is clearly legit.
