Hi
If I run the automatic scan then it informs me that I need part CT516900 (1GB x 2) for a dual channel Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop. The machine is actually a Dell Inspiron 6400 unmodified in any way, and if I run a manual check it informs me I need part CT541087 and am not dual channel.
Any ideas about what part would be the correct one?
Cheers
Jo

Hello Jo,
The two computers, the Inspiron E1505 and the Inspiron 6400 take the exact same kind of memory, so you can purchase either part and it should work just fine. However, in order to receive our compatibility guarantee, you should order for the system you have, which means the CT541087. That way your system will be listed on your order.
