Compatability: EVGA 680i MB with Crucial 8 GB (4 x 2GB) PC2 8500 (TWO memory kits)

would like to check that two kits of this memory are compatible with my MB before I purchase.  Crucial's compatibility tool says one kit does work with the MB but there is no information about running two at the same time.  I've also read that EVGA's 680i get's a little picky with two kits running at the same time--especially at speeds higher than PC2 6400.

Please let me know if someone has run this two-kit configuration on the EVGA 680i before--or knows for sure that it will work and be stable.

Thanks,

Sumit

Hi Sumit,

We can guarantee that the memory below is compatible with your motherboard and we are not aware of any  issues.  However, it would be best to talk to the manufacturer directly about any limitations of the board or any BIOS updates or settings that may be necessary.

From what you've said, it sounds like it may have a limit of how much at a certain speed it can support so you may be better running with 800MHz modules but the manufacturer could confirm the optimum configuration for you.
