Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop that manufacturer says I can install up to 4gb of RAM, with 1gb per slot (4 slots). The scan using Crucial is showing that I have all 4 slots full, each with 1gb. It appears that the computer can take no more RAM, but is it still possible to upgrade it anyway? Thanks in advance.

Hello bigkam,
The maximum supported memory for the 530, 530B and 530D is 4GBs. However, the maximum supported memory for the 530A and 530C is 8GBs. Sounds like you're at the max for your specific model; however, I wouldn't be too concerned because there is little difference in performance between 4GBs and 8GBs for the average user. In fact, many hard-core gamers do just fine with 4GBs as well.

See here also, as the thread I linked at Dell forums may apply to you (Might be able to use 8GB, depending on exact model)
