Standard DRAM Memory

I recently purchased a 2GB memory upgrade for my Eeepc 900 netbook from here and just tried to install it, but then my computer will not work.  I turn it on, but only have a black screen.  The wireless and power lights on the front turn on, but I get no display, no error beeps, just nothing.  If I put in the orginal 512 MB memory and turn it back on, the computer works fine.

Part number: CT25664AC667 .M16FJ2  2GB 200 Pin DDR2 SODIMM 256Mx64 PC2 - 5300

My BIOS version is 08.00.12 with a date of 9/11/08

Since the computer works again if you reinstall your old module, it is very likely that we can solve your problem by simply replacing the 2GB part. Please contact our Customer Support department or use the links on our RMA page to request an exchange.
