Re: What’s next for Crucial?

Well. After a bit of brainstorming:

- Maybe integrate other service, like free membership to online storage with SSD sales...

- rewards, points, referals.

Well you do memory, why not graphics cards. I would love to have a graphics card made by you chaps and chapsss!!!

Your memory is second to none so why dont you have a branch into what your nearly doing anyway. Your memory on a gcard board would rock :smileywink: Now thats what I call a graphics card.

Re: What’s next for Crucial?

Our organization has been a customer for years, and we've always been very happy w/ products, service, etc.

Lately, though, your billing practices have been driving me nuts.  The practice of sending through one visa charge for the product and a separate charge for tax, wastes time and causes unnecessary headaches, especially when we have multiple orders and multiple tax charges to sort out.  If you could fix that, I'd be most grateful.

How about good customer service by honoring your customers' "unsubscribe" requests from email?

I have been unsubscribing monthly, however, I still receive your email.

I have even politely emailed you asking to be taken off the list.

I have been a business customer for, my goodness, what must be over ten years, however, this problem reflects negatively on the way you guys currently do business.

(This has been going on for at least 4 months. That's when I started keeping track...)

Re: What’s next for Crucial?

Also,

Our business goes through growth and stable spurts.

Because of periods where we might not be doing any purchasing, Crucial removes our credit terms. If I recall correctly, the period is one year. Because of this, when I need to place an order in a pinch, I go to other vendors that are happy to keep credit terms with us during our slow periods. It is quite a hassle to keep submitting our applications to you for credit.

If a customer has a history of paying bills on time, why not keep their credit terms so you do not risk losing business?

Re: What’s next for Crucial?

One thing that I always wanted was a great way for someone that is a design professional using photoshop, a laptop and unable to put a secondary hard drive in as a scratch drive, to have a product that is inexpensive and super fast. Something like a firewire 800 thumb drive. it would have a superfast ssd type of memory and between 20 and 40 gigs. Also if this could be anywhere between $150 and $250. A lot to ask, but it would be worth every penny to us designers that are limited to laptops and have a need for a secondary scratch drive.

It would be nice to have your expertise applied to drivers that can be downloaded.

Others do it, some nicely, but all with some failings.

Big job though.

Bringing It All Back Home

It would be nice if Crucial brought it production facilities back to the USA.

Hi Gang,

Here is more of a service to users.  We often like to upgrade memory and we know the old memory has value.  As long as it is Crucial memory you could offer a "buy back" where we sent it to you to verify it is good in the same shipping box we receive the new memory in and once verified good we get a credit or reimbursement to a card or account.  It would give consumers a second though about using different brand RAM.  If I could get say $10 to $15 per stick trade - that would be great and it would also allow me to buy more.

I feel the important part for Micron is a "captive audience" so to speak....

Thanks for listening...
