I am considering a purchase of a Crucial SSD. However, I live in Singapore and would like more information about how I can claim my warranty should I so need it. Most of your FAQs do not specify my location, except for shipping. Also, since there is currently no stock in your shop, i have decided to purchase from Amazon. I would like to be aware of the complications this might ensue, and the turnaround time of service i would be able to expect should i so require.
Thanks.

Since you live in Singapore, the US office would handle your Customer Support requests and possible exchanges. The limited 5-year warranty on the SSD is valid regardless of whether you buy it from Amazon or not, however, if you buy it from Amazon you will need to contact them for refunds, we will only be able to do warranty replacements. Please also note that if we replace the drive for you, you will lose the ability to return it to Amazon for a refund.
Since you would be dealing with the US office if you need any Customer Service assistance, the FAQs for North, Central, and South America are the ones that apply to Asia as well. Please note that for shipping information the International Shipping FAQ will be the one you want to look at, to ensure the details are correct.
I hope that helped clarify things. Please post back with any other questions you have. ![]()

Thank you for your reply.
I would like to enquire if you have any knowledge how the exchange would be carried out.
How long would a typical exchange take? (Also considering possible shipping)
Is there a Singapore office/distributor that I can possibly do a local exchange with to speed things up?
Should there be a need for shipping would crucial pay for it since its a faulty product?
Thanks for your time.

When shipping within the United States, a warranty exchange takes around a week and a half, depending on shipping methods. It is very difficult to predict how long it will take to ship to and from Singapore, but hopefully that will give you an idea. At this time we don't have a branch in Singapore that can do the RMA for you, though it is possible that you will be able to find a local reseller that can do a warranty exchange for you.
Per our current RMA policy we will pay for return shipping if we made an error on our end, and we will cover the shipping cost for the replacement order.

Tyhja,
I apologize for the delayed reply to your post. You can find some of our resellers and distributors on this page, but unfortunately I was not able to find a list of the ones specific to Singapore. You may be able to track them down by talking to local computer companies.
Regards,
