I did a scan with Crucials scan tool, took the results and tried to buy a cheaper version of the memory... Well, here I am again trying to remedy the situation. The scan showed a 4GB kit DDR3 PC3-12800 unbuffered non-ecc. I purchased DDR3-1600 PC3-12800. I get one long beep, which I take it as a RAM problem. So, if I go ahead and buy the crucial memory, will it work? Perhaps I don't understand the numbers for the sticks I bought, but it seems like they should be identical, just a different brand. Also, when I took the existing stick out, it reads a GDDR3, not DDR3. I thought GDDR was graphics only, am I wrong?
